I first attended a yoga class, in my early 20’s at a local Gym, which I joined for fitness in preparation for my wedding. After that first class I felt like I was walking on air, I felt so light and free and I was hooked.
It wasn’t until after having my son, and being a stay at home mum, I really appreciated the magic of yoga in day to day life. Finding time for my self to stay centered and calm amongst the craziness of raising a toddler.
Coming from a background in dance, it felt natural to expand on my knowledge and train to teach. I graduated from my Yoga Alliance certified 200hr RYT Qualification in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga. I am also currently training in children’s yoga with Jamie at Cosmic Kids.
I enjoy all styles of yoga but my favourite is definitely a balance between faster paced Vinyasa Flow classes with a slower more gentle evening flow and meditation practice. As an instructor, I aspire to guide students through a safe and fun practice, playing around with finding your edge and striving to cultivate a feeling of relaxed bliss and calm upon completion of a class.
